Vintage Cabinets
Before
How we found it · Pulled off a curb on trash day. Drawers stuck, top scratched, one brass pull missing.
What we did · Hand-stripped the old finish, sanded the top flat, layered a deep walnut hand-stain, polished the original brass and sourced a matching pull.
What was learned: Stripping, hand-stain layering, brass polishing.
Repurposed Furniture
Before
How we found it · Found in the back of a barn — joints loose, cane seat blown out, finish nearly gone.
What we did · Re-glued every joint and clamped overnight, wove a fresh cane back and seat, and rebuilt the finish with a warm walnut oil.
What was learned: Joint clamping, woven cane seat replacement.
Custom Restoration
Before
How we found it · Water-damaged castoff from a basement. Top peeling, hardware tarnished, legs scuffed.
What we did · Stripped the top back to bare wood and re-finished it natural, painted the body in soft sage, and re-plated the original brass cup pulls.
What was learned: Color-block paint, hardware replating.
Vintage Cabinets
Before
How we found it · Estate-sale find with a shattered glass pane, lifting veneer, and sagging doors.
What we did · Cut and fit new period-correct glass, re-glued the veneer with cauls, realigned the doors, and brought the brass hinges back to a soft polish.
What was learned: Veneer repair, panel realignment, brass hinge restoration.
Retro Consoles
Before
How we found it · Donated from an attic. Cabinet faded and sun-bleached, speaker grill torn, one dial gone.
What we did · Refinished the cabinet to its original gloss walnut, replaced the grill cloth in period weave, and machined a replacement brass dial knob.
What was learned: Cabinet refinish, speaker grill restore, brass dial polish.
Repurposed Furniture
Before
How we found it · Curbside on a rainy Tuesday — fabric torn through to the stuffing, frame creaky.
What we did · Stripped it down to the frame, re-glued and stabilized the joints, retouched the carved wood, and reupholstered in a warm rust velvet.
What was learned: Reupholstery basics, frame stabilization, wood carving touch-ups.
Custom Restoration
Before
How we found it · Forgotten in a barn for a decade. Top weathered gray, finish gone, legs wobbly.
What we did · Belt-sanded the planks back to fresh wood, re-stained warm walnut, painted the turned legs cream, and re-seated every leg joint.
What was learned: Plank-top sanding, two-tone finishing, turned-leg refinishing.
Vintage Trunks
Before
How we found it · Pulled from an attic. Leather straps cracked, brass tarnished green, slats loose.
What we did · Re-stitched and conditioned the straps, polished the brass corners and locks back to gold, and re-pinned every loose slat.
What was learned: Leather strap repair, brass corner polishing, slat refinish.

How we found it · Curb find with chipped paint, a missing pull, and a sun-faded top.
What we did · Sanded smooth, primed and chalk-painted in soft cream, hand-painted decorative scrollwork on each drawer, and antique-waxed for depth.
What was learned: Chalk paint base, decorative scrollwork, antique waxing.
